Lotta Stensson has fashion design in her blood. While other kids were outside playing, Lotta was inside sewing and draping alongside her mother, a successful Swedish fashion designer. Later she continued learning her craft working in her grandmother's design studio in NYC. Her grandmother, Katja of Sweden, was Sweden's most prestigious designer ever. A degree in fashion design at the famed Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC completed Lotta's education and after working as an assistant to various big designers, Lotta set off to make her own mark on the fashion industry.

Lotta has come a long way since the early days, when at the age of 26 she created her first line from two sewing machines out of her tiny NYC apartment. She joined one of New York's most prestigious showroom who sold her collection to Barney's, Intermix and other top shops world wide. After 3 years in business fashion editors from top magazines including Vogue, Elle and WWD voted Lotta Moet & Chandon's Upcoming designer for Fall 2000 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC.

In 2000 Lotta realized her dream of living in a sunny climate, when she moved her company from NYC to Los Angeles. In LA she concentrated on growing her brand, opening a flagship boutique and serving her large celebrity clientele, including Charlize Theron, Madonna, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson and many others. After 9 successful years in retail on Melrose Ave, Lotta decided to move her flagship store in 2009 to West Third Street in Hollywood, one of LA's hottest new shopping districts, and continuing to also be sold at top stores around the world.

Since the very beginning Lotta has always been inspired by fabrics, colors and embroideries of far away lands. She values the artistry found in the "hand-work" of communities abroad and through her extensive travel and exploring the globe Lotta creates her own hand embroidered fabrics, tie dye's and batik's and is also know for her beautiful hand drawn prints. She creates designs silhouettes that are sexy, feminine and easy to wear. The look combines the color and comfort of a bohemian style, with sensual feminine touches and glamour found in evening wear, always with a very unique Lotta-Look to it. She is known for being a forward thinking designer, the hippie chic clothes she started creating years ago sparked a worldwide trend after she collaborated with Madonna on creating her Indian look. Today The Lotta Stensson Collection is a Lifestyle Brand, which focuses on amazing Travel & Lounge Wear along with statement pieces for a night out on the town or while vacationing on a tropical Island.
